How do i get people to follow me on twitter? :S?

Hey ive recently signed up to twitter after noticing the amount of publicity it has! How and why do people follow you especially if ur just an average person not a celeb.

How do people make money with Twitter?

I read about all these people who make money with Twitter, but I am not sure how they do it. Does Twitter reward you for making tweets or something like that? I am a total Internet newbie and just looking to makes some extra money to pay the bills. I guess I just don’t understand. Anyone out there willing to fill me in?

Unless you are promoting a website or product on Twitter, there is no actual way to make money with Twitter. Twitter does not pay you anything for using it. People use Twitter to drive traffic to their websites or blogs so that they can make money from selling things or from ads on their sites. If you are not a blogger or Internet marketer, than Twitter may just be a fun way to connect with people and not an extra income source if that is what you are talking about.

How come people on twitter are racist?

If you look up Kanye west on twitter a lot of people call him the N word because of what he did to Taylor Swift. I know what Kanye did was wrong and he is a jackass for doing it, but I still don’t think he deserves to be called racist names like that though. I mean its only the VMAs ffs, not something truly important or anything. I mean its in the past and over and he apologized for it and she forgave him.

White people are really racist online, however I have never heard a white person say something racist or use the N world in real life. Its because its the internet, just let it go.

How do i get updates from twitter from people im following on my phone?

I have my device updates turned on but the people im following update thier twitter and im not recieving any messages via text showing me there updates?? HELPP PLEASE

Go to your twitter account and go to "settings" and then go to "devices" make sure the number is correct. also, make sure that the device update is turned on for those you’re following. to do this just go to their twitter page, and click where it says "device updates" and make sure it says "device updates on." (should be next to the "follow" button.) finally, some people keep their tweets private and it doesnt get sent to you as a text, recommend you get an application to use twitter than just texting. follow me and i’ll follow you.

ok, so i want to delete some people i started to follow on twitter, how do i delete them? is it possible?

Yes it’s possible! On the timeline on your homepage click on the username of the person you want to unfollow. Then on their page it will say "Following", click here, then click "Remove".

Can i receive other people’s twitter updates on my phone?

I have my phone programmed onto twitter. I can update myself on my phone and i receive direct messages. Is there a way to get other people’s updates on my phone too?

It would depend on what type of phone you have. If you have an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phone, then you can download an app that will act as a Twitter client - allowing you to post updates, receive direct messages, and also view other peoples updates. if you dont have a smart phone like one of the ones i mentioned, then, no, i dont think you will be able to receive other peoples updates, sorry.

Why does my twitter automatically follows people?

As far as I can tell, there are just six possible reasons:

1) They follow people who look interesting, fully intending to read their tweets;

2) They return all (or most) of the follows they get, simply out of courtesy or because they think that’s just what you do;

3) They return follows because they don’t want to be unfollowed for not reciprocating;

4) They follow people simply to encourage return follows, thereby building their own follow count;

5) They follow people simply to encourage return follows, thereby broadening their scope for DM spam; or

6) They don’t pay much attention to Twitter, so they’re not really sure of their own preferences or of the impact of over-following.
