Who Would like to help Advertise for Reality TV star Scott Herman?

Hey Everyone,
I am going to be doing an Intern Job for Reality TV Star/Actor/Model Scott Herman. My Job is to Help him gain followers, fans and to Direct Traffic to his Websites and Channels. He is currently producing a reality show with a stock car/race car driver and is up for the lead role in an HBO show.

He needs to push his Twitter and Youtube channel into as many outlets as possible. Even other countries so that he can build his fanbase as well as his career progresses.

having a MySpace, Twitter or Facebook account directly help your business as far as directing traffic (or better, put you in contact with tangible resources). Worldwide Freelance just sent me an email saying that this was important but I already have two blogs and other accounts to keep up with.

If so, which would you recommend?

I have a website for my business (as a writer and editor). I don’t regard MySpace, Twitter or Facebook as professional, given the nature of many of the pages. I have never had a client ask me if I had a page on any of those sites. I know they are fun and a great way to network socially, keep up with friends, etc., but I am not aware that they are considered essential for a freelance business.

If you have two blogs and other accounts to keep track of, I would forgo adding anything else. Potential clients seeking real pros are not going to go fishing for leads on MySpace, trust me. Focus on marketing your services directly.

Worldwide Freelance relies on loyal subscribers. By creating the appearance of authority, they can potentially increase their base. Remember, though, that WFW is merely one opinion. You certainly can take it or leave it.

How effective are ad words? Are they a good business model?

It looks like many sites (including Yahoo! Answers) probably benefit from targeted advertising on the side panel, but do customers really even use that? I mean, I am convinced that even heavily-trafficked sites and apps like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter will go out of business in 10 years if they don’t find some other way to make money. Maybe I’m missing something?

If you have the traffic that Google has, it’s most certainly a good business model.

If you’re asking about AdSense, where Google places their ads on your site for a share in the profits, unless you have a lot of traffic, you will only be getting pennies.

I would try to find a good affiliate program related to your website that offers CPA (per action/acquisition), not CPC (per click, ala Google AdSense).

How these blogs are getting so much traffic?

There’s a blog listphobia.com who has got unique visitors of 29k per day, and it has got less than 40 posts.

Then there are other tech blogs who don’t update on regular basis, but their average daily hits are above 25k!

I don’t get it how they get that much traffic! I’m maintaining a blog at geekcentre.blogspot.com I haven’t worked on it much (because I wanted to see in the begining how much traffic can it drive from search engines ONLY). The results are 4-5 visits/day or less!

What do u really need to do to drive traffic? Is blog submission on different blog aggregators and RSS submission sites is necessary, or different social media sites, like digg, reddit, facebook. and twitter are good enough to drive traffic if used properly? What one needs to do if they want to maintain such type of a blog which I’m maintaining?

There isn’t one magic bullet that gets you all the traffic you want. You need to work on it, in several ways, and be patient. The same goes for search engine traffic, it doesn’t come overnight…

Step 1: Make sure you have plenty, high quality (means interesting for your visitors), unique (written yourself, not copied) content on your blog
Step 2: Write a few articles about your topic, and post them on article directories such as ezinearticles.com and such. This will create links towards your blog
Step 3: Write articles that answer peoples questions about the topic here on answers. Then answer their questions here in answers.
Step 4: Submit your website to directories such as dmoz.org and plenty of others
Step 5: Find other blogs about the same topic, and comment on their articles, make sure your comment adds something usefull, not just saying something like "great blog". Put a link to your blog in your comment.
Step 6: submit your blog to sites like mybloglog.com and blogcatalog.com and get a good community of friends there.

So if you use Twitter, you are a tweeter, who sends out tweets. Does that make any sense? So the big question here is, how can we make more money on E-How by using Twitter? Millions of micro bloggers are using Twitter daily and tons more are joining daily. Can millions of people be wrong? Twitter is the new rage of social networking business

Can we really make money from twitter account?

There are many application such as TweetTank, Twitter Traffic Exposed, etc that promise we can make huge amount of money after buying their application. I just want to know, is it true? Has anyone tried?
