How do i get people to follow me on twitter? :S?

Hey ive recently signed up to twitter after noticing the amount of publicity it has! How and why do people follow you especially if ur just an average person not a celeb.

You have to actually be interesting.
I don’t mean that in an offencive manner, but generally people don’t want to know what a stranger is doing every minute of the day
